LOUISAINA, – A judge has denied rapper Mystikal bond, after being accused of rape again.
State District Judge Steven Tureau ruled Tuesday that evidence against the 51-year-old rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, which include his past, and the victim’s fear, is enough to hold him without bail, reports The Advocate.
Mystikal served six years in prison after pleading guilty in 2003 to sexual battery.
THEN, in 2016, he was accused of first-degree rape and second-degree kidnapping for allegedly assaulting a woman at a casino in Louisiana. He served 18 months in prison and was released in 2019 on a $3 million bond before prosecutors dropped the charges in 2020.
Mystikal was arrested July 31. Police say Mystikal and the female victim met up at his home to talk about finances when the woman said the rapper became upset, accusing her of stealing cash.
He allegedly choked her, pulled her by her hair, taking her keys and holding her against her will, police said.
He is currently in Ascension Parish Jail.
