UTAH – Rapper NBA YoungBoy is being held at another Utah jail, after posting a $100,000 bond last week, according to a report.
The New Orleans rapper has no option to post bond, The Advocate reports.
The rapper, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, was booked into Weber County Jail Monday, as he’s facing more than 60 felony counts of prescription fraud and weapons charges.
District court Joseph Bean issued a no-bail warrant for his arrest on April 30, so he doesn’t have the option to bond out of Weber County, according to The Advocate.
According to the warrant, prosecutors believe YoungBoy is a flight risk, which is why he has been denied pretrial release in Weber County.
It’s unclear if he will remain in Weber County until his trial, but he will be detained by federal authorities whenever he is released from Utah state custody.
