BATON ROUGE- Rapper NBA Youngboy is under investigation by federal authorities according to the District Attorney’s office.
On Tuesday, District Attorney Hillar Moore confirmed to WBRZ that the rapper, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is now under investigation for his alleged connection to a 2020 video shoot that led to the arrests of 16 people.
Gaulden was also charged with drug and weapons charges.
As a convicted felon, the Baton Rouge rapper is prohibited from having possession of firearms.
Gauldens attorney claims that his client did nothing illegal during the video shoot, and is requesting that he’s released from his bond supervision, as it’s been more than 4 months and there haven’t been any formal charges against Gaulden, WBRZ reports.
Gaulden was released on a $75,000 bond.
