DETROIT- Rapper Obie Trice has been charged with a misdemeanor for shooting his girlfriend’s son back in Dec.
The 42-year-old rapper got into a heated dispute with his live-in girlfriend when her 18-year-old son stepped in to take his mother away from the home. Trice branded a gun, in which the teen attempted to take away from, but was shot in his leg during the scuffle.
Trice was allegedly drinking all day before the fight started.
Trice has been charged with possession of an unregistered firearm in connection to the incident.
Trice and his girlfriend have been with each other for about 5 years.
Obbie Trice was once signed to Eminem’s ‘Shady Records.’
