Rapper Polo G Arrested At NYC Hotel With Loaded Gun

NYC – Rapper Polo G was arrested at a New York hotel with a loaded gun, according to police.

The Chicago rapper, whose real name is Taurus Bartlett, 25, was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm after police recovered a loaded gun in his hotel room in SoHo.

A maid was cleaning his room, when she discovered the loaded gun, according to Manhattan prosecutors.

Police were called and found a black Glock on a loveseat inside of Polo’s room, according to a criminal complaint. The gun had a bullet in the chamber and nine bullet in the chamber and nine bullets in the magazine, the complaint read.

His attorney plead for no bail, saying the rapper was focused on his rap career.

In a bail application, prosecutors said Polo G was a flight risk and brought up his run-ins with the law.

A judge gave him a $25,000 cash bail, which was posted by the rapper shortly afterwards.

His next court date is set for June 4.

His fourth album “Hood Poet: is expected to be released later this year.
