Rapper Q Money has been convicted of killing his friend, according to a report.

A jury found Q Money, whose real name is Qamar Williams, guilty of malice murder, two counts of felony murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm, possession of a during the commission of a felony and aggravated assault, reports WSBTV.

The rapper is accused of killing his friend while he slept.

In April 2019, officers responded to a call about a person being shot in Decatur.

When officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Calvin “Scotty” Chappell dead from gunshot wounds to his head and body.

A report states that Williams had went out with a group of friends to a club the night before.

When they arrived at the home, Chappell went to sleep, and Williams went outside to get food.

Williams came back to the home after 6 a.m., snuck up on Chappell as he slept on an air mattress and allegedly shot him over a dozen times before fleeing the scene, according to the news station.

The shooting was caught on surveillance footage. Officials learned that Williams had attempted to shoot and disable the camera before he killed Chappell.

He allegedly then asked a friend to delete the video.

His sentence is pending and there is no motive for the killing.
