Bronx rapper Remy Ma was arraigned on Friday on charges for allegedly punching former “Love & Hip-Hop” cast mate and rapper Brittney Taylor.
Taylor claims that she was at Lou’s Benefit concert in April at Irving Plaza when Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith punched her face, causing her to have a black and swollen eye. According to Taylor, she told Remy Ma that she had to intervene in Miami when Ma’s step-daughter was allegedly being beaten by a man. Remy allegedly didn’t like that.
Taylor went to the police two days later and pressed charges.
She even took to her Instagram, showing her bruised and swollen eye, asking Remy why.

Remy Ma’s lawyer is denying that she was even at the concert at the time Taylor says the alleged assault happened. She says that Remy was actually home with her daughter, and video from inside Irving Plaza can prove that.
They’re even questioning Taylor’s mental health, saying that she has posted that she’s Bipolar and suffers from depression.
Prosecutor Juan Maldonado asked that Remy plead guilty in exchange for no jail time, but anger management classes instead. She rejected the offer.
She’s currently being charged with assault in the 3rd, harassment in the second and harassment in the second, which are all misdemeanors.
According to the New York Daily News, when reporters asked Remy how she feels about the upcoming trial, she said “No, who looks forward to going to trial? I have things to do in my life — like, I have a real job, I have a family, I have a husband, I have a daughter.”
Her trial begins on July 12th. Until then, she remains on parole, which should be over in August for shooting her best friend who allegedly stole $1000 from her.
