Rapper Rick Ross’ buffalos escaped his ranch on Sunday, causing a frenzy with his neighbors who claim it’s happened before.
The Miami rapper took to social media this weekend to explain why they escaped.
Ross said the animals escaped because of work he was doing on his property, confirming that the group of people who rounded up the animals were members of his teen.
He said “And for everybody that’s wanting a statement and response for my bulls, my cows, a couple buffalos that got away in the community, this is my response: I always return stray animals. Make sure you always keep a collar on your animal. And mine don’t have a collar cuz you know it’s mine.”
He went on to tell fans how to treat the wild animals if ever confronted by one. “So when you see my buffalo, give it a carrot, give it an apple. They so kind. They so peaceful.”
Feeding buffalos IS NOT what someone should do, despite what Ross said.
Now, neighbors tell TMZ his animals have BEEN escaping his Promise Land estate and into their yards, making them fear for their children’s lives, as well as themselves.
The woman, who didn’t identify herself, and lives on a plot of land behind the rapper’s property, told TMZ that the 2,000-pound animals crossed onto her lawn twice this week alone, making her fear for the safety of her two young children.
She shared a video of the animals in her yard, chewing on grass. In the video, a group of people can be seen ushering the pair of buffalo along with a cow off of her property.
The woman said that incident led her to confront the rapper, but she was only able to speak with a member of his team. She told TMZ that she plans on filing a neighbor dispute with the city.
Ross didn’t break any laws, but he is responsible by law for any damages the animal’s cause.
