HOUSTON, TEXAS- Rapper Snootie Wild has died after he was shot in his neck Friday.
Police responded to a report of a shots fired and found the rapper in his SUV with a gunshot wound to his neck. First responders performed CPR on the rapper, and he was taken to a hospital where he was placed in critical condition, reports ABC13.
Snootie Wild, whose real name is LePreston Porter, died from his injuries. Doctors said he had a 50/50 chance of surviving.
His management team confirmed the rapper’s death on Instagram.
Js Management posted photos of the rapper with a caption that read:
“1st pic 1st nite we met wit @snootiewild & it was up from there… just goin thru all this sh*t bring back so many memories…I never lost an artist I worked wit b4 this shit just got me throwed off.”
Snootie is known for his song “Yayo” featuring Yo Gotti.
