ST. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA- A woman who was shot and killed inside of a van on Wednesday has been identified as rapper Syko Bob’s mother, according to family members.
The rapper’s mother, Dorothy “Dee Dee” Smart was described as a friendly woman by family and neighbors, Local10 reports.
Police say officers responded to the 2000 block of Northwest 30th Way at 6:08 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting, the outlet reports.
Smart was pronounced dead at the scene, after she was found inside of a van in the driveway of a single-family home, according to Local10.
No arrests have been made.
Syko Bob was shot himself in 2021, along with three other people, but survived.
