Rapper T.I. pleads no contest to charges

Rapper T.I. pleaded no contest on Thursday to assault and disorderly conduct charges stemming from an incident at his home back in May.

According to court documents, T.I. whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr. got into a heated argument on May. 16, at around 4:30 a.m. with a security guard who was working at the Eagles Landing Country Club, Harris’s gated home community.

Police were called to the scene and according to them, Harris told them that he found the guard, whose name is Euwan James, sleeping at the gate. The security guard wasn’t allowing Harris to enter inside the premises, until his wife came downstairs.

Harris reportedly came back to the security officer and demanded his name, along with his supervisors name, which wasn’t provided to him. The guard told police that he felt threatened and didn’t know what the rapper was going to do to him.

The guard also stated to police that Harris was using profanity, and was yelling at him saying “come outside so we can deal with this man to man.”

Harris did admit that he was drinking that night to police.

T.I. pleaded no contest because according to his lawyer, he’s too busy to go through with a full trail.
