Tekashi 6ix9ine sued by 2 publicists over 2018 armed robbery

NEW YORK- Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is being sued by two publicists for robbing them at gunpoint in 2018, with the help of four of his former associates, and videotaping the ordeal, according to a complaint that was filed in a Manhattan court on Tuesday, reported Page Six.

The lawsuit says that Kevin Dozier, and Seketha Wonzer were ambushed in a commercial building at 264 W. 40 St in a case of mistaken identity.

The lawsuit claims that Dozier, and Wonzer were invited to a studio in the building by DJ Thoro, who is a “confidante” OF rapper 50 Cent, to participate in a podcast.

As the two left the building on April. 3, 2018, they were ambushed by “five armed men rushed towards them from a black Suburban SUV”, ordering them to get on the ground, snatching their valuables, while Tekashi stood by and filmed the attack, the filing says.

Tekashi then posted the footage on social media.

Court papers say that Tekashi and his four associates mistook the two publicists as members of a rival record label, yelling “F—K Rap-A-Lot”.

Wonzer believes that she was a target because she’s from Texas, and has contributed to the same charity events as Rap-A-Lot.

Tekashi’s crew stole Wonzer’s backpack, which had six hard drives, containing 12 years of client information, a camera and shoes, court records say. Paper’s also claim that Dozier had $1500 stolen along with a gold chain that was given to him by his late father.

The suit doesn’t Tekashi’s former associates, but alleged assault, RICO violations, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The pair are seeking compensatory and punitive damages in an unspecified amount.

Tekashi, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, pleaded guilty to the robbery, along with other charges as part of a deal he made with prosecutors in his racketeering case. He cooperated with the state, snitching on his former manager and associates.
