Rapper Tekashi69 Arrested In Dominican Republic After Beating Up Producers Over His Girlfriend, Details

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC – Rapper Tekashi69 was arrested on Sunday by police after being accused of assaulting two producers.

Tekashi arrived at a studio on Friday morning with five other men, according to witnesses, the Diario Libre reported.

The group entered the studio and allegedly attacked two music producers, the witnesses said. Surveillance video footage captured the crew then fleeing on foot.

Tekashi, 27, whose legal name is Daniel Hernandez, attempted to book a charter flight out of the country after the attack, according to TMZ, but the charter company checked with police and learned that the Brooklyn rapper had a warrant for his arrest.

Tekashi was then transported to a police station in Sanchez, as I posted on social media Monday. The video shows the rapper being taken into a precinct as chaos broke out, with a large crowd of people shouting his name as he was being shoved and pushed into the station.

According to reports, Tekashi was jealous that the producers were spending time with his girlfriend, up and coming artist Yailin La Mas Viral, who was reportedly recording songs at the time of the attack.

She shares a daughter with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA.

Producer Diamond La Mafia told Diario Libre “Tekashi’s crew lost it on my producers, though they were not at fault, and they did not know them.”
