Rapper Tekashi69 avoids prison time and sentenced to probation

Tehaski69 who’s real name is Daniel Hernandez had a lot of luck on his side today in Manhattan federal court.

Judge Felicia A. Mennin sentenced the Brooklyn rapper to four years of probation in Manhattan Federal court today (with one credit for one year already served) and not prison time as believed at first. These charges stemmed from 2015 when Hernandez was charged with one count of Use of a Child in a sexual performance.

The rapper must also serve 1000 hours of community service.

Prosecutors claim Hernandez was at a party when a 13 year old girl was being filmed engaging in sexual acts, when he was thrusting his pelvis and grabbed the girls butt. He was 18 years old during this act.

In court, Tekashi bragged about the good deeds that he’s done since he was charged, like feeding the homeless to telling the judge “If I was such a bad person, what in the world would a 6-year-old’s last wish be to see me?” He also added, “There’s people that deserve to be in jail, but Daniel Hernandez does not deserve that.”

He will not have to register as a sex offender, but must refrain from gang affiliation and can’t post or repost violent images of women or children online.
