HOUSTON- Rapper Travis Scott has released a statement after 8 people died and hundreds of others were injured at his Astroworld music festival Friday.
The ‘Cactus Jack’ rapper tweeted “I’m absolutely devasted by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival”.
“Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life, he added.”
“I am committed to working together with the Houston community to heal and support the families in need, the rapper continued. “Thank you to Houston PD, Fire Department and NRG for their immediate response and support.”
“Love you all.”
8 people were killed at the rapper’s music festival in Houston on Friday, and hundreds of people were injured.
Some of those victims were children.
The festival has been cancelled.
