Rapper Troy Ave Set To Testify Against Podcaster TaxStone In Murder Trial

NYC- Rapper Troy Ave is expected to testify against podcaster Taxstone in his upcoming murder trial.

Taxtone’s murder trial began last week for a deadly shooting that happened 7 years ago.

Prosecutors said they have two witnesses who are willing to cooperate, Troy Ave and Malcom Kinyon, a convicted drug dealer from upstate, NY, despite him not being present for the shooting, according to BallerAlert.

Kinyon said that Taxstone discussed the deadly incident with him afterwards, the site reports.

Prosecutors are focusing on the beef that Taxstone and Troy Ave had, because they say that’s what led to the deadly shooting.

Troy Ave and Taxstone both attended T.I.’s 2016 concert at Irving Plaza before a shootout erupted inside of the venue. The shooting resulted in Troy’s bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter being shot and killed.

Troy was shot in the leg, and three other people were wounded.

Taxstone’s fingerprints were allegedly found on a semiautomatic firearm that was used in the fatal shooting. He was arrested a year later in Jan. 2017.

Taxstone has pleaded guilty and decided to go to trial for the federal gun charges.

Troy Ave stopped Math Hoffa’s podcast ‘My Expert Opinion” and spoke the shooting, saying “It’s like you come in here, you brought to do work, and before you walk in the door, there’s a hater, there blocking your way. And the hater killed your friend and tried to kill you, and everything is self-defense.
