Rapper Who Allegedly Killed Pregnant Girlfriend After Being Acquitted For Double Murders Wants To Be Released On Bond

TAMPA, FLORIDA – A rapper who allegedly killed his pregnant girlfriend after being acquitted for a double murder wants to be released on bond.

Billy Adams is accused of shooting and killing Alana Sims, who was pregnant, in front of her 2-year-old son, is expected to ask a judge on Monday to be released from jail on bond, reports Fox13.

Adams allegedly killed Sims just days after a jury acquitted him on separate double murder charges.

Prosecutors filed a motion for bond to be denied, stating that Adams was only out of jail for a few days from previous murder charges before he allegedly killed Sims and that he poses a threat to the community, according to Fox13.

Police said Adams lured Sims to a “party” in Tampa on Jan. 30. It’s then that he fatally shot her in front of her toddler son as he slept in her car just feet away.

Adams told police that he acted in self-defense, which is the defense he used in his double-murder case.

He said that Sims pulled a gun out on him, and he wrestled it away from her, shooting her after initially saying he was home the entire night.

Adams told the woman that he wanted to have a life and that Sims wouldn’t be part of it, adding “tomorrow this shit done,” to which the female replied “This ain’t the way baby.”
