Rapper YFN Lucci Pleads Guilty In Racketeering Case, Faces 10 Years In Prison

ATLANTA – Rapper YFN Lucci has entered a guilty plea in his racketeering case, according to a report.

The rapper, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennet, pleaded not guilty to one count of violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act Tuesday, WSB-TV reports.

Bennet was initially facing numerous felony counts, including felony murder, which carried a maximum penalty of life without parole.

Prosecutors have proposed a 20-year sentence with 10 years to serve. As part of the plea deal, Bennet would get credit for time, which began when he surrendered on Jan. 13, 2021, the outlet reports.

As part of the plea deal, the state has agreed to write a letter to the pardon and parole board that it will not object to his early release.

Bennet apologized to the victim’s family, as well as his own and friends before his sentencing.

He was among a dozen suspects indicted in a 75-page, 105-count racketeering indictment that focused on the Bloods street gang.
