ATLANTA- Rapper YFN Lucci has surrendered himself to police for gang racketeering charges, reports WSBTV.
Lucci is currently at the Fulton County Jail. The rapper reportedly surrendered on May 10.
YFN Lucci, whose real name is Rayshawn Bennett, was named in a gang-related RICO indictment, including allegations of murder and other charges.
Lucci was charged in connection to the death of James Adams in Jan.
The rapper’s attorney, Drew Findling, says that the felony murder charge against Lucci alleges that he was driving his Maybach with some friends, when someone shot at his car.
A passenger in the backseat allegedly returned fire in self-defense, and because a passenger was killed in his Lucci’s car, he’s being charged with felony murder, which Findling says he’s not guilty of.
