Rapper Young Dolph robbed of almost $500k in jewelry and more

Rapper Young Dolph was robbed of $500,000 in jewelry on Wednesday.

According to WSBTV, the Memphis rapper, whose real name is Adolph Thornton was inside of Cracker Barrel enjoying his meal along with a friend on Senoia Road in Fairburn when employees at the restaurant told him that his camouflage Mercedes-Benz had been robbed in the parking lot.

Police say that the five suspects went over to the rapper’s vehicle the first time, and entered it without breaking in. They left and returned three times before surveillance footage from a nearby store shows a suspect entering the vehicle through the passenger’s side.

Thornton told police that these are the items that were stolen from his vehicle:

  • Another chain valued at approximately $57,000
  • Richard Mille watch valued at approximately $230,000

  • Glock firearm
  • Pirelli backpack valued at approximately $300

Police say they’re “puzzled” at how the robbery went down, telling Channel 2’s Berndt Petersen  “That’s interesting to us in terms of what was happening with the vehicle,” Bazydlo said. “Was it being locked? Unintentionally unlocked? We don’t know.”
