MEMPHIS- Rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed.
The shooting happened Wednesday afternoon at Makeda’s Butter Cookies on Airways Boulevard, according to WHBQ.
The owner of the shop, Maurice Hill, told the news station that the rapper, whose real name is Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, went into the store to by cookies when someone drove up, shooting and killing him.
The independent rapper released his debut album “King Of Memphis” in 2016. His second album, “Rich Slave” was released in 2020 and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 Chart.
Police aren’t releasing information on the suspect.
