Rapper Young Slo-Be Shot And Killed At 29

CALIFORNIA- Rapper Young Slo-Be was fatally shot Friday, according to authorities.

The 29-year-old rapper was involved in a shooting on Friday morning.

When police arrived at the scene, the rapper’s body was found in an apartment, reports CBS News.

The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the victim as Disean Victor, known as up & coming rapper Young Slo-Be.

In a statement to KCRA 3, music promoter Thizzler On The Roof wrote:

“We are saddened to confirm that Young Slo-Be was killed this morning in Manteca, CA. We’ve worked with Slo-Be since 2020, and from early on we knew that his work ethic and the care he put into his artistry would take him very far. He saw the most mainstream success with his song “I Love You” which has gone viral on TikTok, but he also leaves behind a strong catalog with multiple albums and a cult following that has followed him for years.”

The rapper was a prominent figure in Stockton, working with artists such as EBK Young Joc, BounceBackMeek, and others.

Young Slo-Be is also known for his song “I Love You”, which samples Mariah Carey’s “Circles”. The song became a hit on TikTok, being featured in thousands of videos.

Police have made no arrests and do not believe that this was a random shooting.
