Rapper Young Thug Denied Bond AGAIN In RICO Case, Associate Put In Protective Custody

ATLANTA- A judge denied bond again for rapper Young Thug on Thursday in his RICO case.

Thug is one of 30 people charged in a 65-count indictment, which allege that he is the leader of the street gang YSL. YSL is the name of his record label.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Wiliams, appeared via video conference from Cobb County, smiling and blowing kisses at his relative who were gathered in the courtroom during breaks at the proceedings, according to reports.

His attorney Brian Steel told the judge “Mr. Williams is an artist, a role model, a father and a son”, but the judge sided with prosecutors again and denied the rapper bond for the 3rd time.

The judge made the decision after he heard that an associate has planned to testify against Williams and is being placed in protective custody after a document posted online showed that he’s willing to cooperate with prosecutors.

Witnesses in the case are allegedly being threatened, but rapper Gunna’s attorney says there hasn’t been proof of the allegations.

Gunna was also named in the 65-count indictment.
