Rapper Young Thug Denied Bond In RICO Case

ATLANTA- Rapper Young Thug was denied bond at a hearing Thursday in his RICO case.

A judge denied bond for the rapper, citing “significant concern” that Young Thug would be a danger to the community or could obstruct justice, according to The Sun.

Thug’s attorneys previously filed an emergency motion to have the rapper released from jail.

Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of participating in criminal street gang activity.

He’s accused of renting a car that was used in a 2015 drive-by shooting that killed 26-year-old Donovan Thomas.

Thug, YSL rapper Gunna and 26 others were named in a 56-count indictment charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act or RICO.

Rapper Gunna was denied bond last week.
