ATLANTA- Rapper Young Thug is facing new charges related to street racing after being arrested for RICO charges.
The Fulton district attorney’s office has been confirmed that Williams has now been charged with street racing, speeding and reckless driving, reports WSBTV.
These charges stem from when the rapper allegedly drove a vehicle at 120 mph on Interstate 85 in May. All of the charges are misdemeanors.
The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, was indicted along with a dozen others on charges including conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and participation in a criminal street gang.
Prosecutors say all of the charges are related to YSL (Young Slime Life), which is an alleged criminal street gang.
Rapper Gunna was also arrested.
Trial begins Jan. 2023.
