R&B Singer B. Smyth Dies At 28

Singer B. Smyth has died at 28.

The R&B singers oldest brother Denzil, confirmed the devastating news on his brothers Instagram page Thursday.

A video was posted saying the singer, whose real name is Brandon Smith, “passed away this morning respiratory failure after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis.”

“On behalf of my brother and my family we want to say thank you to all of you for all of your love & support throughout the years,” the caption read. Denzil added “We also want to say thank you for all of your prayers. #RIPBSMYTH Love you bro! 🙏🏾☁️”

Smyth signed with Motown Records in 2012 and released his first single “Leggo” featuring rapper 2 Chainz. He then when on to release his EP Floridaa in 2013 with his hit single “Win Win” with Future.
