Make-up artist to celebrities and reality star Laney Chantel has died at 33 after an alleged overdose, according to reports.
Chantal, whose real name is Alaina Chantal Parkhurst, died on Monday on Michigan, her family confirmed in a public obituary. They wrote that she had struggled with “various mental illnesses throughout her adult life.”
A mask designer and makeup artist, Chantal was on SyFy’s “Face Off” show in 2013 for its 5th season but withdrew from the show after earning fifth place.
She worked with celebrities such a Marilyn Mansson and created the “Head FX Makeup” for rapper Lil Nas X for his music video “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” in 2021 which caused controversy. It did win Video Of The Year at the MTV’s VMA’s.
