FLORIDA- Human remains found in a wooded area on Saturday are those of a mother who went missing.
The family of Nyeisha Nelson, 20, reported her missing on Wednesday after not having any contact with her for several days.
Nelson took her 5-year-old daughter to school on Feb. 11, and police say that a neighbor saw Nelson the day before she went missing, News4Jax reports.
Police found Nelson’s 2008 gray Honda Accord on Thursday in a wooded area just feet away from her remains in a shallow grave.
The medical examiner’s office ruled Nelson’s death a homicide, but her cause of death is unknown.
There are arrests at this time.
