TEXAS- The remains of a woman that were found on Tuesday are those of Vanessa Guillen, the Fort Hood soldier whose been missing.
Vanessa’s family confirmed the news despite an official positive identification from the state.
Two people have been connected to Guillen’s murder.
The suspects, Spc. Aaron Robinson and Cecily Anne Aguilar, a civilian, allegedly dismembered Guillen’s body and were attempting to burn it after Spc. Robinson bludgeoned her.
Robinson shot and killed himself as police were attempting to confront him.
Aguilar has been charged with tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair a human corpse,which is a second degree felony. If she’s convicted, she faces up to 20 year in prison and a fine of $250,000.
