NEW YORK, N.Y.,- Rapper Remy Ma was in Manhattan court on Tuesday for her assault case.
The 38-year-old Bronx rapper was accused by her former “Love & Hip Hop”: New York cast mate Brittany Taylor of punching her in her face at at DJ Pretty Lou’s cancer benefit concert on April 16 at Irving Plaza, which caused her to have a bruised and swollen eye.
Taylor took to her Instagram though and changed her story saying that it wasn’t Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, but that it was allegedly her husband, rapper Papoose that gave her a shiner, and that Remy is taking the rap for him.
Taylor was also arrested on assault charges for allegedly throwing a phone at her friend and injuring her. That case was dismissed against her.
So, why won’t they drop this assault case against Remy Ma?
While in court, according to Page Six, Remy Ma told reporters “Just more of a waste of the taxpayers’ money.”
Her attorney is asking that the judge dismiss the case.
