Remy Ma turns herself and is arrested for allegedly assaulting former “LHH” cast member (Update)

Rapper Remy Ma, whose real name is Reminisce Smith, 38, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with assault after turning herself into police for allegedly assaulting former ‘Love & Hip-Hop” cast member Brittney Taylor.

Remy was arrested at the 13 precinct in NYC.

The alleged assault went down at Dj Pretty Lou’s benefit concert, which took place at Irving Plaza on April 17th. Remy Ma performed, along with a few other people.

Taylor was allegedly punched in the eye by Remy when Taylor told her that she had protected her stepdaughter in Miami on Spring break, from an abusive male who she was with.

Remy allegedly didn’t like that information coming from Taylor and punched her in the eye.

Taylor went to Mount Sinai hospital, where she was treated and released. She then went on social media and posted a video with a visible black eye, asking Remy “Why.”

Taylor then lawyered up.

This is gonna get crazy for Remy, because she’s been on parole, which means no trouble at all, or she goes back to prison and has to finish her original time. Remy was actually seen last week with an ankle bracelet on, leading many to believe that her trouble had already started.

Remy’s lawyer Dawn Florio tell’s The Post, “It happened in a dressing room where the defendant had no reason to be there, “the complainant is a liar. My client did not touch her.”

Remy Ma’s bail was $1,500 and she quickly posted it, going back home to be with her husband, rapper Papoose and her baby. Her next court date is on May 24th.
