‘Riverdale’ Actor Ryan Grantham Sentenced To Life In Prison After Killing Mother

Actor Ryan Grantham, best known for his roles in “Riverdale”, “Diary Of a Wimpy Kid” and “Supernatural” was sentenced to life in prison for the second-degree murder of his mother, reports NBC.

Grantham shot his mother, Barbara White, execution style with a .22 rifle in March of 2020, as she was playing the piano in her home.

The Canadian actor then took a GoPro video after the murder, in which he confesses to killing his mother and even shows her dead body, according to reports.

The next day, he covered her body with a sheet, surrounded her with lit candles and hung a rosary from her piano before driving to Ottawa with guns, ammunition and Molotov cocktails.

His plan was to kill Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, but he drove to Hope, B.C. and changed his plans, this time with the thoughts of committing a mass shooting at Simon Fraser University, (where he was enrolled) or the Lions Gate Bridge.

In the end, he turned himself over to police.

A second-degree murder charge carries an automatic sentence of life in prison in Canada.

He was given life in prison with parole ineligibility of 14 years.
