Boxer Ryan Garcia was arrested Saturday on suspicion of felony vandalism at the Waldorf Beverely Hills Hotel, police said.
Garcia was arrested around 6 p.m. after he allegedly caused damage at the hotel. Police didn’t release details on what he damaged and the expenses, but an employee at the hotel says the boxer caused more than $15,000 in damages.
Police said they responded to a call from the hotel, and he was immediately arrested.
Garcia was issued a court date, and the case will be submitted to the district attorney’s office, which will decide whether to file formal charges against the boxer.
