LOUISIANA- Two sanitation workers as being hailed as heroes after they saved a missing 10-year-old girl.
Brandon Antoine and Dion Merrick were working their route on Monday when they seen a grey 2012 Nissa Altima that had been mentioned in an Amber Alert earlier in the day.
The men spotted 10-year-old Jalisa Lasalle inside of the vehicle with her abductor and blocked the car in from leaving until police came, KFBK reports.
Police rescued Jalisa, and arrested registered sex offender Michael Sereal.
Police issued an Amber Alert after Jalisa disappeared from a relative’s home on Sunday. She had been seen getting into the Nissan.
A warrant was also issued for Sereal.
The sanitation workers said they grew suspicious when they noticed the car parked in a field, and then recognized the car from an Amber Alert.

Sereal has been charged with aggravated kidnapping.
