HOUSTON, TEXAS – Singer Monica appeared to pass out on stage during her concert Sunday night.
The 43-year-old singer reportedly fainted on the side of the stage, according to TMZ.
She was then carried away by a crew member, before being taken by an ambulance, according to fans on social media.
Monica has a heart defect, which is mitral valve prolapse, which is when the flap that separates the upper and lower chambers of your heart doesn’t close properly. She also suffers from high blood pressure.
At 18, she was singing “Angel Of Mine” when she began losing consciousness. At that time, she had not been diagnosed with her disorder.
