Singer Naomi Judd has died at the age of 76.
According to multiple reports, Judd died in her Nashville home on Saturday.
Her sister, singer Ashley Judd, tweeted: “Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness.” Adding “We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.”
Sisters Naomi and Wynonna Judd were set to be inducted in the Country Music Hall Of Fame on Sunday and had recently announced a tour.
Both singers had 14 No.1 songs that included “Mama He’s Crazy”, “Girls Night Out” and many more.
It’s unclear what Judd died from.
