CALIFORNIA- Actress and singer Olvia Newton-John has died at the age of 73.
The actress, best known for her role as ‘Sandy in the musical “Grease”, died on Monday in her California home after a long battle with cancer, her husband confirmed.
Newton, who was born in England, but raised in Australia, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. The cancer returned in 2017 after 27 years in remission.
Newton became a pop sensation in the 1970’s and 1980’s, selling more than 100 million albums and almost 40 entries on the Billboard Hot 100.
