Singer Tory Lanez Convicted Of Shooting Megan Thee Stallion

LOS ANGELES- Singer/rapper Tory Lanez was convicted of shooting of rapper Megan Thee Stallion on Friday.

Tory was found guilty of three charges that included assault with a semiautomatic handgun, discharging a firearm with gross negligence and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle, according to reports.

The jury reached a verdict after 7 hours of deliberation over two days for a trial that lasted two weeks.

The Canadian rapper was taken out of the courtroom in handcuffs after the verdict was read.

Lanez pleaded not guilty to the charges and could face up to 22 years in prison at his sentencing which scheduled for Jan. 27 and may possibly be deported to Canada.

Megan Thee Stallion wasn’t present for his verdict.
Megan testified that Tory shot her in her foot in July of 2020, after he was kicked out at Kyllie Jenner’s party. An argument ensued in the vehicle they were in and when Megan exited the vehicle, Tory shot her at feet as she yelled “Dance! Bitch.”
