MISSOURI- Singer Trey Songz was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer on Sunday.
On Sunday, the 36-year-old singer was filmed getting into a physical altercation with a police officer at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, as the Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills were playing against each other, according to footage obtained by TMZ.
In the video, Trey Songz, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, can be seen resisting arrest, punching an officer in the face and putting him in a chokehold (maskless) before he was arrested by a Sheriff.
TMZ is reporting that witnesses claim Trey was being heckled by others in the stands, and he had asked to them to shut up.
Witnesses then claimed that the officer approached the singer, and allegedly got physical with the singer. The witnesses also added that Songz was acting out in self-defense.
Songz was allegedly charged with resisting, assaulting a police officer and trespassing.
