‘Saturday Night Live’ star Michael Che will be paying the rent of 160 residents after his grandmother died last week from complications due to the Coronavirus.
The comedian took to his Instagram to announce what he was going to be doing, writing “It’s crazy to me that residents of public housing are still expected to pay their rent when so many New Yorkers can’t even work, adding “I know that’s just a drop in the bucket, so I really hope the city has a better plan for debt forgiveness for all the people in public housing.”
He also called for the help of NYC’s Mayor De Blasio, Gov. Cuomo and even Diddy (Which I don’t get) .
