South African Rapper Costa Titch Dies At 28 After Collapsing On Stage During Performance

South African rapper Costa Titch has died at 28 after collapsing onstage while performing.

Titch was performing at the Ultra South Africa music festival in Johannesburg on Saturday when he briefly collapsed on stage.

Videos from fans shared on social media, show the rapper standing up in an attempt to perform, but appeared to lose consciousness again before staff rushed to his side.

His family released a statement on his Instagram, which read:

“As a family, we are faced with a difficult time as we try to make sense of what ga befallen us and ask that we be afforded the time and space to gather ourselves,” they wrote. “The Tsobanoglou family thanks you for the love and support you have given to our son, and may you continue to uplift him even in spirit. Please keep us in your prayers and uplifted in the Lord.”

Costa signed to Akon’s Konvict Kulture record label in 2020.

There is no cause of death for the rapper.
