South Korean Rapper Ch1tkey Faked His Own Death

SOUTH KOREA – Rapper Ch1key faked his death for “clout”.

On July 30, reports about the 21-year-old underground rapper dying while live-streaming from the rooftop of a building near Sangbong Station on Subway Line 7 in Seoul made it’s rounds on social media, according to Times Now.

He was reportedly pronounced dead from cardiac arrest, with his girlfriend even mourning his “death” on social media.

Hour after the “news” about his death, police announced that there were “no reports of incidents related to Jung Joon (Ch1tkey) near Sangbong-dong on July 29,” the outlet reports.

An official also revealed that he had seen the rapper following his fake death. He said “I met him at the entrance this morning, and he went into his room. There was nothing wrong.”

After his plan to fake his death quickly came to light, the rapper posted a video that was filmed at the roof where he his fake death reports stemmed from. He also posted an Instagram story where he says “Sorry to the rappers on Show Me The Money and broadcast rappers. I’ll take it from here,” and he also wrote “I’m illuminati.”

Ch1tkey’s album OPIUM WAR debuted in 2021 and he also gained attention for being involved in a fight with rapper Lovolf.
