Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler has partnered up with Youth villages to open up a home for neglected and abused teenage girls who in Memphis.
The grammy award winning singer, opened up Janie’s House on Monday in Memphis and instead of a traditional grand opening with a snip of a red ribbon, the star did his way, cutting scarves.
The house will take in up to 30 girls annually, providing access to medical and therapeutic care.
The singer says that he his song “Janies Got A Gun” was the inspiration for the house.
The house was made through singers foundation, Janie’s fund, and his $500,000 that was put in the project.
