ATLANTA, Georgia: A mother from Georgia has been charged with murder for the death of her 2 year old daughter who died weighing just 12 pounds. According to a press release from the Gwinnett Police Department, they received a call around 3:30 pm on Tuesday from Devin Moon who told police her 2 year old daughter Reygan was “unresponsive and cold to the touch”. Moon reportedly told police that her daughter Reygan suffered from a medical condition that didn’t allow her to gain weight, but according to the press release, the cause of death was due to “neglect malnutrition” and not due a medical condition that the child had. Detectives found that Moon who was a stripper would leave her daughter alone in the home while she worked overnight shifts which were 10-12 hours and that it happened on a “regular basis.” A child at 2 years of age should weigh between 26-38 pounds. Reygan weighed just 14 pounds at the time of her death. Moon has been charged with 1st degree cruelty to children and felony murder.
