Subway Customer Upset Over Order Strikes Employee With Sandwich

FLORIDA – A Subway’s customer who became upset over the way his sandwich was cut, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted an employee with a sandwich.

Alberto De Barros, 54, was arrested by police after they received a report about a “disturbance” at the store around 5: 00 p.m. Tuesday.

The subway employee told police Barros became “upset with her” after he found out his sandwich wasn’t separated, according to a probable cause affidavit, obtained by The Smoking Gun.

He allegedly caused a disruptive scene.

The worker then told De Barros she would no longer serve him.

As he was talking on the phone, he hurled a sandwich at the employee, which struck her in the “mid to lower body section.”

De Barros then stormed out of the sandwich shop, and the employee followed him and recorded his license plate.

De Barros was arrested for battery, which is a misdemeanor and booked into jail. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
