ATLANTA- A Subway worker in Atlanta was shot and killed and another injured after a customer became upset over the amount of mayonnaise on his sandwich and opened fire, police said.
The shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Atlanta police said.
The store’s owner told FOX5 that an argument over mayo led to the deadly shooting. “Believe it or not, it was about too much mayonnaise on his sandwich.”
The store’s manager was able to fire back at the suspect but didn’t strike him.
Police they’re searching for the suspect who fled.
The employee who was injured, was rushed to a hospital to be treated for her injuries.
