Suspect charged with murder, kidnapping of 13 year Hania Aguilar

NORTH, CAROLINA: The F.B.I. have arrested and charged Michael Ray McLellan, in the death of 13 year old Hania Aguilar.

McLellan has been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree forcible rape, first-degree sexual offense, statutory rape of a person under 15 years of age or younger, first-degree kidnapping, felony restraint, felony larceny, abduction of a child and concealment of a death.

McLellan was already in custody since November 15th.

According to his arrest warrant, McLellan was already in custody, after an incident stemming from October 15th, where he allegedly pointed a gun at a woman and attempted to steal her car and money. He was charged with second-degree kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.

McLellan has a lengthy record.

In 2007, he was convicted of a felony after committing a burglary with a gun.

According to authorities, 13 year old Aguilar was kidnapped, when she went to start her aunt’s SUV before heading to her school on November 5th. That’s when a man dressed in all black with a yellow bandana covering his face, forced her into the vehicle.

Authorities found Aguilar’s body weeks later in a body of water about 10 miles from her home where she was kidnapped.
