ALABAMA- Two suspects charged with the murder of 3-year-old Kamille ‘Cupcake’ McKinney, entered not guilty pleas on Thursday according to WBRC.
Derick Irisha Brown, 29, and Patrick Devone Stallworth, 39, were both charged with capital murder, one count of kidnapping and one count of conspiracy to kidnap a minor.
Stallworth was also charged with multiple counts of possession with the intent to disseminate child pornography, and possession of child pornography. The images were discovered on his phone.
Brown also has additional charges, as she was charged with felony attempting to elude officers and second degree murder. These charged stem from 2018, when police say that Brown allegedly kidnapped her own 3 kids after they were taken from her custody and placed with a family member.
McKinney was kidnapped, as she was playing outside with another toddler, unsupervised.
According to a witness, Brown, and Stallworth were seen driving around the Tom Brown Village housing community, allegedly attempting to lure another child into their vehicle by offering the child candy before they kidnapped McKinney and murdered her.
