Swizz Beatz album “Poison” out this summer

Swizz Beatz will be releasing his long awaited album titled “Poison” this summer. Swizz sat down with Pitchfork , to dish on who’s featured on the album, and what songs just didn’t make the cut. “Poison” will be Swizz’s second solo album, and features include Nas, Pusha-T, 2 Chainz, Jim Jones, The Lox, Kendrick Lamar, Giggs, Lil Wayne, and more. Swizz told Pitchfork he made 70 songs for the album, but only 10 tracks made it. He also said that he has 4 more albums he’ll be dropping after “Poison”. All 4 albums will be from different genres. Swizz told Pitchfork he has an R&B album, an “acoustics” album, a “global” album and a “energy” album. Swizz says the album was recorded 2 years ago “I did his album two years ago in one week in L.A.,” he said. “In the studio every day at 12 o’clock, just bang bang bang. Recorded the whole thing, got it all on film. It was an ill process.” Swizz described the Nas tracks as “super crazy, maniac shit.” Swizz removed a Kanye West and Bono track because he says “I took all the hits off my record, meaning anything that felt too big that the rest of the record wouldn’t live.” Swizz has since then dropped his single “It’s Okayyy” which is not featured on the album.
