T-Pain makes racist remark after being accused of plagiarizing a Bollywood song; video taken down by Youtube

Rapper T-Pain made a racist remark on Twitter, after he was called out for allegedly plagiarizing a song by an Indian songwriter.

T-Pain’s newly released song “That’s Yo Money” sounds just like the melody to “Tim Hi Ho”, a song from the Bollywood movie Aashiqui according to the songwriter Mithoon who took to Twitter on Saturday to put the rapper on blast.

Mithoon tweeted at T-Pain “Sir, the melody that you have used in your new song is my original work for a previously released Hindi film..The Label is looking into this.”

T-Pain then replied to Mithoon, using a racial remark that has been a racial slur used against the Indian community. He said he woke up to getting dragged by “brown twitter.”

T-Pain also tweeted that he “had no idea” that “That’s Yo Money” was sampled from “Tum Hi Ho.”
Now, if this was an Indian saying he woke up to getting dragged by “Black twitter,  I’m sure there would be attack on the Indian community.
After the songwriter of “Tum Hi Ho” made a complaint and the uproar caused by T-Pain in the Indian community, Youtube has since then taken down the video to “That’s Yo Money.”

T-Pain has since then tweeted:
